Gentry High School is an institution  where students have the opportunity to grow, learn, and better themselves. Extracurricular activities  have become an important part of helping students to shape themselves that Gentry offers. Old sports such as football, basketball, softball, baseball, JAG (JMG) and clubs to new sports and clubs. When asked “how do they feel about the new extracurricular activities/sports that have been added this year?,” students stated that it  gives them more credibility and school spirit.

Also, they feel that it’s good we have extra activities and sports at our school for people that don’t like to do the common sports that we already had and it’s giving more opportunities to the students at our school.Students also like that the school has added more extracurricular activities and sports because it gives people a new opportunity to experience something different and something they aren’t used to like volleyball, esports, robotics, and tennis.

Gentry High School’s  image with the community is improving, and having a new school comes with new beginnings and new chapters.  Some of my classmates, including myself, have auditioned and joined Drama Club, Choir, Band, the Media team, etc. I personally feel that the school getting new sports and clubs was a great decision. I’m proud of myself, for taking a leap of faith, as well as my fellow classmates and the student body as a whole.
