Mrs. Latoya Henry is a proud 1999 graduate from Gentry High School. After graduation, she attended Thee Mississippi Valley State University and initially majored in Elementary Education focusing on Mathematics and English. However, she later changed her major to English. She has recently taken on the role of becoming the first female athletic director in the Ram’s Den.

During a recent interview, Mrs. Henry describes her experience as being surreal. She plans on working with both current and future athletes in achieving their goals, while also mentoring them to balance academics and athletics. Her vision includes managing our athletic programs with a focus on open communication, ethical decision-making, and staying informed.
When asked about challenges, she stated that in the beginning, it was a challenging and overwhelming transition, due to the fact that she’s never been in this type of position before. Once she learned how to manage paperwork and work with coaches and staff it started to get easier.
With her dedication and hardwork, Mrs. Henry is confident that she will be able to lead our programs into a bright future.
